Dance Performance Testimonials Montage

A small ballet company, Dance Theatre Seattle, was seeking a way to memorialize two dance productions in 2025 and 2026: their unique production of A Nutcracker and their annual company performance, Rep Two. The company and school, Dance Theatre Seattle, have been gaining traction since their founding in 2021, but most Seattle residents seeking a high-caliber dance performance gravitate towards the well established Pacific Northwest Ballet, making it hard for a small, independent company to compete for ticket sales. To support their goal of expanding their audience, I created montage videos of key quotes from audience members whom I interviewed during intermission at each performance.

For this project, I drafted interview questions that would best highlight the unique flavor of co-artistic director Joshua Grant's choreography and staged a small interview area in front of a banner with the company’s logo, using my professional-grade microphone attached to a compact, unintimidating smartphone. From the footage, I distilled the most impactful quotes, removed unnecessary hesitations and repetitive speech, added transition screens to anchor the questions, and overlaid photographs from the performances to mask abrupt visual transitions and illustrate more vividly the aspects of the shows mentioned by the interviewees.

Podcast Consulting

As the co-creator of the Teacher Think-Aloud Podcast, I have shaped the podcast from its very beginnings. Some challenges I’ve undertaken:

Choosing a name for the podcast that reflects its focus on reflective practice for teachers;
Designing a logo and developing consistent branding for the podcast across its website, social media, and other appearances;
Building and maintaining the podcast’s website, leveraging SEO, and distributing episodes on hosting platforms;
Planning monthly episode content, writing scripts, scheduling guests, and writing interview questions;
Engaging guests in dynamic interviews that communicate the impact of their work and tangible takeaways for listeners;
Editing episodes that weave together interview recordings and host commentary in a seamless, engaging listening experience, using tools such as Audacity (manual editing) and Descript (AI-powered).
